Eddy and Della Mae Kennedy
Canadians Eddy and Della Mae Kennedy are graduates of the United Pentecostal Bible Institute of New Brunswick, Canada. For several years they worked under AIM appointment, laboring in the countries of Kenya,
Tanzania, Mauritius, and Botswana. In 1996, they became fully appointed missionaries to French-speaking Reunion, Mauritius, and the Seychelles and were successful in founding the first UPC of Reunion Island.
In 2002, the Foreign Missions Board approved their transfer to New Caledonia, an overseas territory of France in the Pacific Region and an unevangelized target area for the UPCI. After deputation and a period of language study in France, the Kennedys moved to New Caledonia in early 2006. They received registration approval for the church in April 2006 and rented a location for holding services the following August. The Kennedys are now working with a small group of people who are attending regularly as well as with other new contacts.
